yeah my brother actually got a roll cage installed in his car a couple weeks ago and he said his launch is so much better.
I wish my car chirped, it used to, but with the big wheels (17's, sorry, I couldn't pass the deal up,) it doesn't. You can hear it trying, but, it doesn't. What ended up being the problem with the axle?

It's an Oil pressure gauge w/ the $5 bezel from Advanced Auto Parts.

I don't know. I went to the alignment shop and he didn't wanna work on it since it's a drive-line problem(said it would NOT be a misalignment if it's shaking/vibrating)
I called the Honda shop up the road(my buddy used to be a mech. there so I know the owner) and he said he'll take a look at it tomorrow, so I guess I'll be driving it up there at my lunch break and dropping it off for him to diagnose it.

We'll see.

(btw I'm in the process of buying a custom log mani from a guy in Orlando. I wanted his Ramhorn but I decided to save the money and put it towards the turbo(57 trim t3/t4 hybrid. keep your eyes out for me!).

I've talked to him on the phone. He seems like a pretty cool guy. We'll probably work out some sort of meet-up deal instead of shipping, so I don't have to worry about any scamming issues... Idk, I might end up coming to Orlando, soon, Formby :)

As far as wheel spin- I took it out again yesterday and hit it hard, and it hardly SPUN at all, just chirped a lot. It's cool! I have awesome traction on the street(a LOT more than my D16/stock crossmember... seriously. (ok, maybe not in first around a corner... hehe)... Just think of how much better I'll do at the track :ph34r:

Today at lunch I'll take my car to the shop and figure this thing out.
I was reading up on axles last night..... I saw a few things Exodus said about using 88/89 axle with the SIR midshaft. I also heard about the 90-91/2 axles working.

I just don't know what midshaft I have.. :( How can I tell the difference?
It makes me so mad that the drivers side (new) axle looks identical to the old one.
I guess I need to go back to the shop I bought them from and return them for a different year model axles. and hold them up to see what the difference is....

oh, and I've still got to buy a passenger side axle seal.

What do I offer for a custom built log mani with a 38mm wastegate??
I just threw $150 out there as a starting price, but I have a feeling he'll want around $200/$250/more..
Although he's pretty reasonable.. He said $450 shipped for the Ramhorn w/ wastegate flang and all....

After the times I ran Friday.. I'm beginning to contemplate sticking the 351 in another ranger...

If I can't get my car into the 14's or if I'm not CLOSE to 170 hp when I get dyno'd... I don't think I'll put another penny towards performance in my GSR.
 
I'm gonna give Max a chance to do his stuff...

If it doesn't work out, I'll paint it and let you and Eli play with Honda's... I'll be out of the import game. It would no longer be my toy.

Thats how disappointed and pissed off I am at my car and the build.

I cannot recount how many slips I've seen over stock GSR's either in the low 15's or high 14's. I'm not asking for 12's or anything unrealistic.. I just want to run what I should run and not be slower than what I was w/only a freaking header and a blown headgasket.

And I don't consider 27xx lbs that heavy, considering it only weighs less than 100lbs more than the coupe.
