Trust me, optimism is your best friend when you're doing one of these builds. Just see the light at the end of the tunnel

I can't wait to start seeing some pics of this, it's going to be awesome. I just finally got my car running right, and man I'll tell ya right now, what an indescribable feeling that was.

What are you a walking advertisement? Luis already has a plan, and your post has no real relation to his thread. GTFO!

Man, I haven't even had a chance to BREATHE! haha Work has been consuming me lately. I drove by it though and almost started drooling. Now that I know where it's at I plan to stop by whenever things calm down.

I'd like to see pics of it sometime too, Matt, except that the current EG that it is going in is currently in pieces and a lot of my parts aren't even in this state! haha Heck, I can't wait until we put back the Z6 from my old EG and get the other EG running, period. That will be done after transfering over the hood, the wiring, the dash, the doors....etc. etc. There is a lot of work to be done. We just got done with my brothers EG so mine is next, finally. haha

What a shame. The shop I am going with is in South Carolina. Performance Porting is their name, I believe. Feel free to post more information on the local shop in here. It may come useful to myself or other locals later on.

Here's an update on cams I am deciding in between now.

B16a2 Turbo cam choices...

While I am still enamoured with the Skunk2 stage 2 turbo cams, I recently found Crower stage 2 turbo cams and am now trying to decide which I will be going with. I am still trying to decypher which has the best lft/duration between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have decided what valvetrain I am going with. My builder got me a GREAT deal on Supertech complete valvetrain and I will be going with that along with 1mm oversized valves.
These came highly reccommended by him as he has done MANY builds with them and experienced no problems with them whatsoever. A word to the wise as far as valvetrains are concerned, stay away from Skunk2. I believe I mentioned it earlier in this thread but since I started doing my research on this, more and more people have told me that they tend to break down easily and have experienced many problems.

As far as the manifold for this beast, well, I will just let you see what I ultimately hope to end up with.

A/C Compatible Ramhorn manifold comparison...

Hey guys I'm doing a d16y8 cylinder head and mating it to my d16a6 block, then swapping it into the engine bay of my EF. I'm just doing the cam, do you think it will do anything? (with no other mods).

P.S. I'm keeping my old valves and I just personally hot-tanked it and cleaned the valves nicely. Should I go a B16A2 in the future?. I only ask because I have had a lot of fun personally rebuilding my first head (the D16Y8) and I'm wondering if the B16A6 head is harder or anything?. Also, what is the average price of a B16A2 (from what I understand this engine comes out of a 2nd generation Integra) so it shouldn't be much.

My list of engine mods that would fit the B16A2:
1) 2 1/4 inch header back exhaust
2) dpfi-mpfi swap (done by me)

Actually to think about it I dont have much for that motor as I do the B16A2, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!. Thanks!.
