I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so feel free to move it (member's lounge maybe?)

But...

Which/who's repair manual do you prefer? Haynes? Chilton's? Helms? Is there another one to look into?

Thanks!

it has more dirty pics, that's why it's on her nightstand?????

Why do you like the Haynes? Any particular reason?

haha nootrac - but no...i dunno. first, dad always had haynes, so when i went to buy one, that's what i got too. i have always been able to find what i'm looking for inside of 30 seconds with the haynes manual. good index and clean layout. i dunno if there's much else to tell you - i couldn't find my haynes one time, so i bought whatever they had (chilton's) and used it like twice - then i found my haynes again and uh....yeah never cracked the chiltons again. also the haynes is green (yay) and the chiltons isn't (boo).

sorry, someone else probably has a better reason for you :D.

I just downloaded my Honda Service manual for the times I forget to bring the actual one.
Have both Helms and Chilton. But the Honda service manual far surpasses both.

I have a helms, chilton, and haynes. Helms is the best for how to do something but the haynes is good for troubleshooting.

Hayne's, Fruit of the Loom...I'm personally a Tommy, V, RL or any other kind of boxer brief that works, especially the free kind. :D I keep all of mine in my underwear drawer.

Helms IS the official service manual.

ah... lol im an asshat.. well i was not really paying attention to what I have sitting down there. I usually just use them for the torque specs and wiring.

I have the downloaded factory manuals for the crx 1988-1991 + supplement and 1992-1995 civics. If I know I broke something I usually check them on the PC for ideas. then start getting greasy.

actually come to think of it I don't remember which 2 I have sitting in the stack of manuals I have. I really have not had to look at them much.

:shrug2:

I have the physical manuals for the 88 Civic, 89 CRX Si, 95 Civic and 95 Integra, then pretty much everything else online. :)

Thank you all!

I see Haynes at Advance AutoParts all the time, Chilton's at the bookstores & AutoZone(?) - who carries Helms? Or do I just order it online?
