VTEC isuzu??????

i was cruizin main today when i noticed a vtec emblem on an isuzu ascender now i know isuzu and honda worked in the past (rodeo/passport) but now isuzu is with GM...? does ayone know if they still had rights to the patended VTEC if so what happens when GM gets a hold of it, vtec cobalts???

Sounds more like someone swapped a vtec engine in it, or as a joke. I doubt Honda would ever share vtec or any of its operation and components.

Vtec is just a name. Variable valve timing is used by pretty much by every auto maker.

As we all know "VTEC" is Honda's variable valve timing, and yes alot of other auto makers have their own but not with the name "VTEC", its probably trademarked or something.

He said emblem so i assumed sticker or something from a civic.

He he i smile everytime i go to wal-mart (unfortunatley where i work) and see the electronics brand called "vtec" no caps.

honda and gm have shared things in the past some of the saturn Vues 04-07 have a honda v6 and it was a honda 3.5L honda v6 if you look at the harness engine harness it says honda on all the plastic LOL its the same engine that is in the mdx pilot and odyssey and yes the saturn has VTEC swap that in to your ion or cobalt

The late 90s honda passports also known as the isuzu something or other has an isuzu motor and the autotrans is made by gm of france. Oh and there is a company called Vtech it makes wheels, i saw some on a camaro, imagine a chevy qwith vtech lol.

honda did some trading with gm on engines because they wanted to use isuzu diesel engines in some of there cars so they did some trading it dosent matter that they sell gm there engines and trans because this word will get out that they are driving a honda powered car and people will grow to the love of a honda thru GM making there sales go further and further down hill till there gone


my aunt did this she owned a 04 vue learned of the honda powertrain by braging about how good it had been 148k and no issues and now owns a 07 element
