Why do you hate Hondas?

Thats why i sought out an integra, too many civics. The DA's arnt as common in my town but Toronto is packed with em.

I hate....
1. High-ass prices for 250,000 plus miles used hondas
2. ( im with CHEESE on this ) Nothing on the Honda lot is good looking any more except for the S2000 and they're just about gone. All though I do like the New accord coupe but most people hate it
3. You can't find them used for under $2,000 unless they're severly broken ( wrecked, bent valves, swap gone wrong, absent engine, etc. )
4. All the good models are gone/going; RSX/Integra, S2000, Prelude, delsol, Hatchback civics ( U.S.)

I actually like the new Accord Coupe's look waaaay better than how the new Civics look. I agree with ya on that one. I don't know if it's just my Hondas or what, but every SINGLE time I go in there to fix something, no matter how small or easy, it always turns into some car-fixing fest. Like everything breaks, gets stuck.

And the bitch horn. All the other cars laugh.

i hate....

-that im always worried about my teg getting stolen
-cops stare at you even when you drive like a grandma
-cv axles that break after 10,000 miles

:withstupid:

the fear about theft is pretty terrible, i can't believe how much we have to worry about someone else wanting our 15+yr old import cars. as for popo - they're awful (at least in MN). but i think they also have a memory and i don't get grief from the ones in my town any more because they've thoroughly cashed my offenses out (out of state dealer tint x3 which i finally removed, and speeding which i just don't do around here anymore, f MN cops). the first 2 years here sucked though. can't a whitey cracker girl drive her import car in peace? ^_^

i forgot about cv joints though i don't know how lol. just haven't had to do them this year i guess :D

i hate body work on quarter panels

:werd:

I love my honda cause I got it for free!

I hate the rear quarters rusting too, but I don't have the issue, being that my 92 civic lx came from Atlanta. I was so happy to see a 5th gen with no rust!

My pet peeve with hondas though is the name. Especially around my town (60% + below poverty level), too many guys work 40 hours a week to rice out their hondas, and that's it. All sorts of fart cans and wings and horrible window tint jobs get thrown onto those things left and right. When someone asks me what I drive, I have to explain that it's not a riced out civic just because EVERY other civic in my town is riced out.

I'll tell you what though, it gives me a LOT more pride to have a clean civic with some real balls under the hood

P.S. - don't pay attention to the profile pic, just a joke...

Exactly like me except an integra. Its clean, little lowered with JDM lights, classy stock 94+ integra rims and a smooth body contour (one badge, no spoiler/wing and no rear wiper). Although when i say Integra most people are impressed as with most "Acura" cars, which has the luxury feel to it. Mine is more pure Honda than Acura.

Also with my B16a its more balls than alot of em.

I hate that I have to worry about theft. I won't even drive my car down to Seattle. Some of my friends houses I won't even spend the night at cause they live in an area I'm not comfortable parking in. And like Dacheat said, it's a freaking 16 year old car, it's just plain stupid that I have to worry about it.

forgot some:
can't take my factory-adorned plastic pieces 1st gen crx ito a regular car wash.
reverse gear sounds like a RC car.
to specify what others have said on the rear wheel well rust, pretty much everything 84-95.
colored H emblems.
all the honda starters sounds the same.
all the really cool ones are rwd.

Hah, that is so true, if you hear a car start in a parking lot you can tell its a Honda by the way the starter sounds.

and i thought i was the only one.
esp w/ all the hondas out there and ppl leaving all at once like after a movie or class or the end of a work day. hearing something like 20-30 honda starters and recognizing it.

oh, and most hondas are weak on torque.
and they have this magical, golden reputation for quality. i don't think so, esp when balanced w/ the maintenance schedule.

lack of tq

no factory turbo other than the bastard K that doesnt bolt into anything

newer models are over priced

older models are getting too old and costs too much to fix ie.. 1k car with 4k engine or 2k paint

thieves

also, not to knock on D series motors because I know they have SOME potential, but I doubt anyone in my town knows what a swap is (except for my friend with a white teg that helped me do it!). They all think they're going to build 10 second cars with their D15 on 7.50 an hour from KFC

i hate the rust cops and all the shit talk about how hondas are slow even know i beat domestics all the time

No torque no matter what, they are built with cheap parts and even cheaper materials, they are extremely expensive to repair considering they are an entry level vehicle, they aren't particularly good at anything except being owned by douchecanoes, they continue to look more and more like toyotas and gm midsize vehicles (with the exception of the civc, which just looks like dried fag juice), the starters, element, idle creep, the ricer community, and most of all..... the fact that the entire automotive industry JUMPED onto Honda's nuts when FnF came out.

They are terrible, un-cheap, cars that need to be used as one thing.... the melting process to make parts for real cars.

I know this is the hating on Honda's thread but that's some serious hateage right there. A Civic was never really intended to be a high performance car. They're awesome on gas though :) I'm very glad I get 35-40mpg.
