until the cheated shows up at your house packing and lays you out....

yep. i've seen this happen. a guy i used to work with was banging someone who was "separated". he was at her apartment when the ex showed up. guy went through 3 clips. shot my coworker 17 times. the ex didn't have a single mark on his criminal record. just lost it one day.

as a rule i generally believe any retribution for cheating should be taken out on the cheater. so long as the person the cheater was cheating with was unaware of the relationship in question.
if the person who is being cheated with is aware of said relationship, then that person shares equal guilt with the cheater, and both parties shall be subject to the same consequences for their actions. consequences need not be equal for each of the involved parties, and may be dealt out with bias towards one party or the other.

Maybe its because im still < 30, but marriage to me is nothing more than a relationship w/money at stake.

if a girl cheats on you with some random guy that doesnt know you and didnt know she was in a relationship, then she should bear the brunt of any anger or repercussions that come from the cheating (ie: no reason or justification to beat the guys ass)

if a girl cheats on you with a guy that knows that she was in a relationship, but doesnt know you... both parties deserve blame and should share repercussions for the cheating... with more being dealt to the cheating whore, and less to the guy who only knew that she was in a relationship (ie: moderate justification to beat the guys ass... generally only if he tries to talk shit after the fact)

if a girl cheats on you with someone who knows that she is in a relationship and knows you personally... then both people deserve to share the blame and whatever consequences you deal out (ie: full justification to beat the guys ass)

I liked the first way you wrote it E. It looks like a disclaimer for any woman that may want to commit to a relationship with you.

I understood his point in the first post, but that looked like a bill congress is trying to pass when reading it.

E, you've given this too much thought. Way way way too much thought. Do you have a personal law book that you've written for yourself?

"You're cheating on me! And you, mother fucker.. hang on a minute, I need to consult my personal law book to see if I can waste both of you or if one of you goes free.."

^ lol you summed up my thoughts. Don't get me wrong I fully agree with your pov E, however I think it is highly unreasonable to expect someone of the male species to stop himself in that moment of rage to ask the guy whether he knew that the woman in question was in a relationship. So what I'm saying is, while you are right reason generally doesn't play a big role in this kind of encounter.

Hey B - is E the same way in real life as he is on this forum? That would make him the ultimate friend.

ocd, babbles complex ideas, thinks the zombies are coming...

yes. lol
