apparently my joke to his joke was over all of yalls heads. i got it but apparently yall didnt get mine. and yes im running a piggy back and yes im on stock injection pump. i dont need a injection pump right now. i need a lift pump to keep up with it. when i turn my programmer up past 6 it starts to sputter on launch under a lot of boost but once i start going i can turn it up. i have after market injec. torque converter. transmission, piggy back and gonna buy another programmer here soon to stack on top of this one and after i do that then comes lift pump then turbo.
yea most people don't realize they need a new lift pump when they get a programmer and they end up starving their injector pump amd burn it up, then their pissed when they gotta spend another 2k to fix that

I think that you would like to think people were crying. In reality, I just think you are a cunt.

You over-estimate how much I actually care about my car. I HATE my car.

Your truck is a truck and you are a cunt. End of story.

when are you going to realize i care nothing about what you have to say. especially with that shitty attitude. ;)

well...............

your one of my new fav fellow texans :D

yeah and your my new fav fellow on here to lol. at least someone knows something about something on these forums. yeah i know all about it. as i said earlier i worked at the my friends dads shop for a while and picked up quiet a bit of knowledge along the way which i am very grateful for. and for the opportunities that he gave me in life to get where i am now.

you should stop and get a job. Of the 8 people in my department currently in right now, none of them have degrees.

oh and it sucks bc im only getting 10hr :(

i can see that. i was meaning towards trucks. sorry bout that.

work and school sucks. im there right now. not exactly the most fun ive ever had.
Worst advice ever.
:withstupid:

in the tech field, not really. experience (except in government jobs) trumps degree HARD.

i agree with all of that.

and idk who your working for or what exactly you do but in the feild im going in is not just a desk job its a lot more complicated. you have to have A+ test, sec+, networking, windows server 2008 windows xp, windows 7, and hardware. you have to have all of those certifications just to do what i want to do and each test on avg is about 260 dollars a test. and there is 1-2 ppl in this field per company. so its very hard to get and you have to be good and it pays extremly well.

btw if you say to quit school you dont need it in that field i would hate to see what you would do to fix a car. o_O

lol..... but he might know what he is talking about.......

Oh and believe me I do.

I've worked for one of the largest dealerships in north texas (classic chevrolet) doing rich media design (flash applications, email ad's)

I've worked for NeoSpire Managed Hosting as support rep, promoted to jr sys admin, promoted to sys admin (they do hosting for quite a few large companies, check their site, http://neospire.net).

I've worked for HRsmart (think they provide HR systems for more than 100 fortune 500 customers) as a Systems admin.

And now i work for rackspace as a systems admin for the cloud.

Basically what that means is I am a programmer that can service very high level customers, and I'm an admin for some of the largest names in their field.

I do Flash, PHP, Perl, Java, Ruby, and C#. I can build servers. Design network architectures, Configure Routers, Firewalls and Switches. Do ground up linux system configurations (RHEL, Debian and SuSE), ground up windows system configurations (Server 2000-2008) and Im an experienced MSSQL and MySQL DBA.

Most of this people on this forum can vouch for.

Some of it you'll just have to take my word for, and when you need help, just ask.

And finally, school is important, but in the tech world experience really helps you more than any degree will.

If you had a degree on top of that; you would be much further ahead.

except i would be much further behind....id just be getting my first job...and a business degree with tech experience goes much further than the tech degree.

Unless you get your experience while in school. Thats what I did. I graduated from college in 2004 and a year ago I became an Engineering Manager.

Agreed on the business degree. I want to get a Masters in Business on top of my BS in Computer Science.

Maybe the sys admin world is totally different than the development world.

it might be. ive never had issues getting jobs as a dev with no degree, but i've never enjoyed it, so who knows, maybe dev does work differently. Administration doesn't need a degree till you hit VP in most cases, director in some.
