Four Loko Cuts Caffeine Ahead of Likely FDA Ban - CBS News
FDA Weighing Ban on Alcoholic Energy Drinks - ABC News
In my opinion, if people want to drink the crap, let them drink it. we are all adults... ok... some of us are- but we can read labels. If they are going to ban stuff that is bad for you- they could ban, well, just about everything. Alcohol, cigarrettes, fast food, etc. If people don't want to use it responsibly it's their own damn problem.
If they remove the caffein from 4loco nobody will buy it... just like DUFF ZERO.

The most hypocritical part about all of this here in Washington has to do with the fact our liquor stores are ran by the State.
you would think they would just let them sell the 4loko in the liquor store.
Very true. I wonder why not? What's the difference in selling Red Bull and liquor in the same place? I guess cause it's more convenient because it's in the same can?
because you have to mix red bull and the liquor.
oh, and separated stuff isnt' made in pretty colored cans that attract "kids" to drinking. ugh....sometimes amurrica really screws the pooch on it's ideals.
this shit has made national news and is now under am impossed fda ban of caffiene in alcohol.

maybe not where you're from, but seat belts are the law here.
'click it or ticket'.
and, many states have helmet laws. we don't, because the hells angles/etc lobbied against the politicians well when it came into session some years back.
ya know, pass this law and your kid will disappear type shit
The idea isn't to protect you--- it's for the police/emt/firefighters. It saves them from scraping people off the pavement on a daily basis instead of just the 'bad' accidents.

Seatbelts and helmets are a law here.
I have seen cases where the seatbelt was actually the killer- so that's a toss up...
