Re-pinned distributor from OBDII to OBD0. :)

Catch me up real quick here. Why are you taking OBD2 back to OBD0? OBD1 & 2 support scan tool use - which is nice for troublshooting.

Just wondering dude. I'm building a motor for my '91 hatch and taking it from ODB0 up to OBD1 simply for scan tool compatibility.

The only difference between OBDI and OBDII distributors is the plugs. I couldn't get an OBDI dizzy on short notice so I ordered an OBDII GSR distributor cause it's more common and just swapped the plugs to make it plug and play. :)

I never have needed scan tools for Hondas, shit they are scan tools. Just jump the service wires and it blinks and tells you the code(s).

Long story short I'm still going from OBD0 to OBD1.

I must have misread something. You are going from OBD0 to OBD1 - that's a good thing. And you repinned to work with existing wiring.

Yeah, I know all about blinking codes - would much rather use a scan tool.

Like that new signature.

I've got a pretty sick tarp set-up now. ;)

Got LOTS done on the engine wiring, you guys should see pics of the complete harness tomorrow.

damn dude, i like wrenching on my car and all... but udertaking a wire tuck... thats just for looks.... just doesnt justify all the time (and money) needed to do all this... its not going to improve performance.... whats the point??? id focus more on fixing the exhaust, replacing worn out suspension bushings, getting camber correction kits....

i think the point is that its his car and he wants a very clean good looking engine bay.
it does nothing performance wise, its all aesthetic.
if i werent so lazy and uncaring about stuff like that, then i would have done the same on my swaps, but like you, i didnt really want to put all the time into it.
but, i fully appreciate it when somebody else does it, if done correctly, it usually looks bad ass.

a wire tuck actually doesnt cost much. say $20 for wire and some shrink tube. all you need is a soldering iron, a pair of snips/wire strippers and some motivation.

Beep beep beep, my hate-ar is going off

not hating... i meant cost by how time consuming it has to be.... maybe im old school, but when i see fully wire tucked engine bay, it almost looks to me like its unfinished.. it has that "something's missing" look... it all comes down to personal taste, and time management i guess... but the kid here does one hell of a job nonetheless....

OH MAN I have plans for that stuff ! But its one thing I've always wanted to do, and now is the right time. I just keep thinking of the finished product. Even working today I giggled to myself thinking about the fist VTEC hit.

I have nothing but time and I realized that if I didn't dig into a tuck now, it wouldn't happen for a while.

Cost me NOTHING. I had everything at home. :)

not to mention if you had waited, the engine would likely be in the car
