In 2003 I had my boat in a Marina in West Brook, we used to catch nothing but sand sharks. We got sick of it after a while.

my dad and i resently went down to the wynoochi river here in washington. got 6 steelhead in the boat that day lost 2. if you have ever steelhead fished you know 6 in the boat is a great day.

I went all week...only landed that 20" striper. Has a few really decent ones on the line....now I'm praying for bad weather so I can take a break.

sweet fish:thumbsup:

nice fish! i would like to go salmon fishing up north somewhere someday, its a whole different world from where im at for sure.

i went bass fishing recently and we caught about 50 in 2 days. there were no really big ones, only up to 4lbs or so. it was not ideal conditions for bass fishing... a cold front came through and it was windy and in the 50s in the mornings. but really, it was an awesome fishing/camping trip overall. heres a few pics from the trip.

Those are some nice looking steelheads! Can't wait to get back to Colonial beach so I can go for the stripers.

Anyone know about Quantum reels? I have a Array 40 and just borrowed my friend's Tenacity 40; his Tenacity has 9 bearings vs. 8 in my reel, but my reel is so much smoother. I tried to clean and oil his reel but it's the same. Are they a different design? I always thought his Tenacity was an updated version of the Array. I can't find the Tenacity on Quantum's website; though I did pay more for my Array reel than he did.

Oh yeah I also have dry graphite under the spool(I had run out of grease); but I did that about a year ago and it didn't seem to make a difference. Technically the graphite wouldn't be able to reach the gears; would it(if it's just under the spool)?

I'm a shimano whore now, but I might get some Daiwa's soon.

And with the damn weather, floods, and lack of any fish up here, finally got the first points for the kayak wars today...21" striper...20 points...game on.

I think I'll go out this weekend just for the hallibut... (Sorry, it had to be done.)
But seriously, Ive got a lot of free time lately so I really do want to get out. Maybe i can get my uncle to take his boat out to Buckeye Lake to see what we can see.

I'm going to the beach tomorrow but not sure if I'm going to fish; supposedly (king) mackerel don't really bite until late summer/autumn.

Nice, I went opening day, got nothing. I need to get out again. The Farmington River still looks a little high, maybe this weekend Ill give it a try.
