I'm sure as shit not paying 4k for it, but I'm going to check this out...

1995 Ford Taurus Sho

cars not worth 4k, 1500-2000 all day, its got the saggy ass syndrome , prob a automatic, its got stock front brakes, and with gen 2's its harder to find a manual car than a atx car, fuck a atx, gen 1's are faster than gen 2's , esp 89s, 89 has no abs, no air bags, more simple interior, that red gen 2 is clean though, and gen 2 interior is very comfortable lol

WOW. How did I miss all of this? Anyway...

gotta cut me some slack on it being a +yr old thread

No. No we don't. You deserve any shit that comes your way after this revelation.

And I won't speak for the rest of the staff, but given all of this, I presently have very little interest in protecting you on here or making sure that your threads don't get trashed.

You're own on your own now buddy. Good luck...

see, banning would be too easy......:p

so from what ive gathered all of this shit about the magazine car was a lie?

you gotta realize 2 , this thread, has been gone, dead and buried for over a year now man, you and I both know lots of shits changed just in the ammount of time this thread got posted, but still no excuse, and your right, that was wrong and fucked up of me to do and say such , but again, like I said you know thats not me anymore, totally different pair of shoes now
You talk like 1 year is 20 years worth of time. 1 year was just yesterday. You're a fucking idiot.

lol
I would take everything he says as bs. If I cared enough I would go to the sho sites and see if he gets his ass handed to him on there too.

Dilwhatever, why do you try to fit in so bad? We are generally a bunch of easy going guys.

the car exists and was in a magazine

other than that yes pretty much all a lie

:werd:

It's not like we've got a bunch of people here that have built monster cars that have been featured in magazines. Shit, a lot of the people that hang out here don't even have Hondas anymore. We just like to come here and shoot the shit with each other.

Maybe you thought to yourself, "Well, I got off to a bad start here, so if I make up this shit about how I'm involved with this magazine-featured car, people will like me and respect me". Is that what you thought? Well you didn't have to do that. All you had to do was NOT be a douche-canoe.

All of this is very sad... :shrug2:

my hate all you want thread ? my brothers ae86 coupe that got 0 love, and countless pages of hate, well, not only magazine cover car for s3, but full article on it, soo when everyone here starts building magazine cars, then hate on our shit
Viva Hood | S3MAG.COM

First of all, it's wonderful that you come on here thinking you're awesome for having your brother's car in a magazine, in which the entirety of the short article is vaguely alluding to you being poor and likely somewhat of a douchebag. As a photographer, I will say these shots are seriously good. Great composition, lighting, use of DOF. They have this kinda industrial feel that actually kinda blocked how bad it looks at my first heavily THC influenced glance. Although, the overwhelming majority of my photography subject matter is abandoned buildings and other urban decay, so these photos are really right up my alley.

Anyway onto the car.

Wtf did you just sawzall that? Is that even attached to anything or does it just flap in the wind? You didn't "angle" your hood. You just mounted it incorrectly. Wait, come to think of it, that bodyline doesn't even come close to matching up. Did you bend your frame hill hopping, or has your car rusted in half under that sideskirt? 0/10

MJones_AE86-25.jpg

why would you mount your intercooler laterally in a place completely blocked by the hood? And why would you run such needlessly long lines to the trans cooler? Just mount it on the left. I like the one black pipe connector, and the birdsnest vacuum harness. The adjustable cam gears set to 0 advance are a nice touch. Btw, there's a purpose for the timing cover, especially in a longitudinally mounted engine, but you'll find out the hard way probably. I'm sure it's powerful, but it's longevity is questionable. 5/10

MJones_AE86-39.jpg

Besides what looks like chevrolet dashboard plastic coated steering wheel, that interior actually looks really clean, although the photography is obviously trying not to show the headliner. Glad you kept the stock shift knob and not something ridiculous, but shame about the teal brake button. 6.5/10.

MJones_AE86-3.jpg

WTF those tires are just asinine. Needlessly close fenderflare clearance, and just piss poor workmanship. I know you're trying to turn "I don't give a fuck" into a style, but Michael Bay did it much better without endangering lives, and those flares seriously just look like shit. Good thing every single road in the country is freshly paved and there's never a pothole. I bet those back wheels even rub just cornering. You can tell by just fucking looking at it that the car probably has the ride quality of a 1945 Willys. 0/10. Epic fail.

It's certainly a sleeper because I would absolutely laugh at you if you revved next to me at a stoplight, and although it'd probably take my SI, my Daytona would probably walk a bus length on it, and it's not massively dangerous to drive. All in all, your car's almost good, but not quite. I see what you were going for, and It had potential, but was hobbled by a case of laziness and bad ideas. So get over yourself. Your name's not even on the title.

Your 89 SHO looks pretty nice though.

Wow... There is just so much fucking win and fail on here (thread-wise).... Im speechless... Holy shit dude... There are posers and then there is dickskate... Wow is all i can really muster right now with all the revelations that have been brought out to out attention... The level of douche-baggery and outright ignorance (because he continues to defend himself instead of crawling into a proverbial hole and never showing his avatar around here ever again) is, well... There are no words... Bravo dude... I dont know what to say...

the blue button on the brake lever is a drifters knob. you push it in and turn to lock it so you don't have to push it in everytime you yank up the handle. dori style. in the past i just wrapped the button up with masking tape

The Corolla is "Rat Rod". Nothing more.

I like it. Only shame is that it's a coupe, and not the hatch. But hey, they aren't making any more of these.

shoob and I both prefer coupes (both have owned both) coupes not only do coupes have more BA rear interior (when gt-s) , but much nowhere near as much chassis flex with a coupe

Chassis flex lol.

What suspension, wheels and tire setup did you run that allowed you to notice the chassis flex?

Chassis flex lol.

well I guess I spoke out of term then ? hatches are much more squeaky , you hear the dash move and flex when you are hammering corners , never felt it, just hear everything flexing when cornering , assuming chassis flex ?

Chassis flex lol.

it was that one time, or the second time, that they decided to just completely get rid of the strut assemblies and just welded in a metal rod. nice and firm. that way, they could feel everything and not have to worry about suspension travel whilst pulling jdm g force (its different than american g's)

as far as tires, they filled them up with fix a flat. no air, no flats. nice and firm.

you obviously did not read a fucking thing in the last 4 pages.......cheers to you.;)

photo's are matt jones, now employed by super street.

as for people attacking the "dangerous tires".....blah, blah, blah.

not aiming this directly at you, but for others that have been herein participation for the endurance of this shenanigan. if you sir would catch up with the rest of us, youd know a little history of whats unfolded here, and not rhetorically say again the things i have. its hard to critique something without taking in a full observation.

moving on with the tires.....

please explain to me, why i was able to drive this car daily 88 miles, on less than perfect streets, littered with potholes, construction plates, dips, 2" bridge laps, poor compression joints, etc. and never have the first blow out, side wall bubble, or knot. why was i able to come in full lock corners with entry speeds over 80 mph, and never break a bead, even in a flat slide situation? what do you honestly know about a stretched tire? obviously some of you dont know the benefits of it...... for example , especially in drifting. a stretched tire incurs a pre-loaded sidewall. why is this important in drifting? because if the side wall is pre-loaded, then, your break away point is more predictable, and less violent. meaning i know at what point my car is about to lose traction. this is very important and useful in this situation.

the "you shouldnt be running x10's unless your craming a 225 or better on it". actually no. by running that wide of a wheel, even if the contact patch is not as wide as the outer bead, it does move the contact patch outward. giving 2 benefits for drifting. 1] a wider track = more stable at higher speeds. add this with a preloaded sidewall, and its even more stable. 2] steering angle. by widening the track, your pushing your contact patch away from the pivot point at which the degree of your steering knuckle is rotating. everyone knows that if you look at a protractor, and pencil 60 degrees at the smallest point, then move out ward, what happens? the angle degree stays the same, but it gets wider. same science applied here.

contact patch. contrary to popular belief, it actually widens it, period. not only is your center tread thats meant to be on the road, making contact, so is a percentage of your shoulder block now. i will say, getting that pressure right is tricky.

while stretching tires on a ff car has no benefit, it may offer some of the issues you guys are mentioning, that ff car is not a 50/50 platform is it.........hmmmmm, think about that. that car pulls, steer, and supports most of its weight on 2 stretched tires. most drift platforms are a 50/50 by choice.

mentioning the contact patch, heres a rear tire off this car, from an event. this tire purposely has 55 lbs. in it, as it was rated for 44 lbs. higher pressure, tighter sidewall.....yeah, revert to the lesson above.

btw, timing is +7 exhaust -3 intake.

and even your si would probably spank this car at a red light, 2 reasons. 1] im not a punk kid that revs at people at redlights, and dont street race. 2] with 210 lb-ft. at the wheel, paired with a 4:778 ring and pinion, and 13" wheels and a lower profile tire due to stretching, id get to 110 really, really quick, but at that point your civic would be hitting 4th and passing me.

now, pair those torque numbers and that mathematical equasion together and you get around a 5:20 drive ratio to the pavement......

i bet i drag your civic and daytona backwards

together

for miles.

that ratio is equialant to most diesel trucks these days. you see, its not all about power of the engine, and fast. every car is built a specific way, for a reason, even if its cheap, and just for that reason. half of you guys on this forum may not understand why, some might, and im sure 2% do. its a sport for rwd, called drifting.

headliner is actually clean other than my 3 year old's michaelangelo artwork up there with a sharpie.

shift knob isnt stock, again, reading is vital in critique.

there's actually 2 black couplers.

those arent vacuum lines in that rats nest

if you were any kind of photographer, you would understand depth, contrast, shadowing, and the likes and realize what your looking at, or what you think you might be trying to critique.if you had a good, attentive eye for photography and its contents, you would notice things i did not already cover in the last 4 pages, but you wouldnt know because you didnt take the time to observe in the 1st place. things like:

the home depot curtain springs holding the bumper corners on.

the welded on, sheet metal, rear spoiler.

the driver side running light blown in the pic.

theres not a decaying building in sight.

the bolt on the cut part of the fender....

the spacers in the hood hinges.

the katty-whompus hand bent aluminum bracket holding the top of the radiator.

and even more that im still not gonna cover, just because its a complete waste of time to try and entertain someone that wears a bicycle helmet, or to my knowledge does, thru a first observation of characture.

look at that, looks like the i/c has plenty of airflow, and wait, so does the radiator behind it, while the OIL COOLER blocks neither.

obviously your eyes are still a little blurry from your THC induced rant thats rhetorically covering what already has been.. try sobering up, and stay in school, and learn to read, being illiterate in todays world will get you no where. i mean you can try and use pictures as flash cards, and crayons and such, but youll have to grow up eventually.
