hey thanx for all the input, i am in idaho and my car is in utah so i will try searching the problem out and get the alternator tested. yeah there is a blue plug with two wires hangin next to the ecu jump that with a wire or paperclip and your check engine light will flash the codes for you...

i just got done with my 97 civic h22 swap. most of the wires will need to be lenghtend, some colors will match up but not most, also dont forget to to sheild the knock sensor and the o2 sensor signal wire other than that you should be fine.
