Well. Fuel Pump replaced, PGMFI relay replaced, spark plugs replaced, fuel and air filters replaced.... working on the o2 sensor but I can't get it out. But I don't think that is the problem anyhow. It will still start and run after sitting for a while, but if you turn it off or let it idle...

Did your ECU throw a code when the MAP sensor went out? It shouldn't start back up if the MAP goes out right? I mean at all. Other than visual inspection is there some sort of way to know if this thing has gone bad?

I just bought a 400 watt Orion AMP off a guy from bimmerforums for $127 shipped. And I'm looking at an MB Quart 12" Sub. Total system with wiring will run about $250-$300 but it's going to hit very hard and very clean. Oh you know MB Quart has class.

I'm from vacaville, but the M engine swap is going to set me back about three grand... no room for a Z anyhow.

I attempted to check the ECU codes just incase... I think this is correct right? I turned it to AUX II and the SRS light blinked on and off and the check engine light stayed solid (no codes right?).

Well once the car is on, it seems to be charging. And it's only dying while it is left off... if the alternator wasn't working, it should still hold a charge, just shouldn't recharge right?

I posted a couple days ago that my car died in a supermarket parking lot. I cleaned off the battery terminals and got a jump. The battery charged fine, it was going + according to my voltmeter. I didn't drive the car for about a day, and when I went back out... the battery was dead again. I...

Simple solution to a stupid problem. There was corrosion on my positive battery terminal, I didn't even check before. Cleaned it off, got a jump, and it's charging again.

Anyone? I'm about to go back and check the ECU, maybe get it towed home. I hate having to use one of my AAA tows for like a 1 mile tow though.

I thought the crank still cranked with the distributor, it just didnt fire?
