Hey everyone,
I have a couple clusters, but the tach in one wasn't working so I was going to swap it out, but when I went to the remove the needle on the tach the whole shaft came out...So I put the shaft back in but I'm wondering if it didn't seat correctly in the windings because it doesn't...
Hey,
I just changed my clutch and transmission in my 93 Civic SI. When I turn left I can hear a clicking sound only when pressing down on the gas, if I have the clutch pressed in there is no click. I put a brand new CV shaft in and the clicking sound was still there. The inner tie rod end boot...
That's what I thought. It looks like the D17 manifold. I'm thinking I may pass on it now though. I don't know that it'd be worth the trouble.
Thanks for your help,
Phil
Hey,
I have a line on a full turbo kit that came off of a 2002 Civic Si. The guy said it was on a D series engine, but I was looking at the manifold and it's only five bolts. What I'm wondering is...is there a way to make that fit, or could I get away with just changing the manifold and using...
Alright, thanks guys. I didn't know about that tool to lock the pulley. I had considered going and renting a 1" impact. If the heavy duty guys would just do it for free though that'd be nice.
Thanks a lot for your help guys,
Phil
Hey guys,
I'm in the middle of changing my water pump/timing belt on my 93 Civic. But I can't get the crank pulley bolt off.
I have air and an ingersoll rand impact gun that's supposed to make 780 ft lbs that isn't touching it. I've taken the starter off and tried jamming a big screwdriver...
You can take your head to a machine shop and they can pressure test it for cracks, and let you know if it's any good. Get it resurfaced while you're at it if it is any good. You could of cracked a cylinder as well, but I doubt it.
Could be a vacuum leak. I'd also take a look at your IAC, and PCV valves and the fast idle valve. May need to adjust your idle. Also, if a car is low on coolant it can get that funky idle, and be dumping extra fuel in.

Hey,
I've been wanting to paint my civic for a while now, and just recently got a compressor, so I was thinking of getting a paint gun. I don't want to buy a really cheap gun, but I don't need the best one out there since this isn't going to be my profession. I was thinking of the Devilbiss...
My stock muffler is rusted. I patched it up, but I found a good condition exhaust for sale used and thought I'd get it, but I didn't realize the CX pipe was so much smaller, so I think I'm going to look around elsewhere.
Thanks guys,
Phil
haha - Yeah, that was me. My brother needed a car, so I just sold it to him for what I paid :(. I bought another D16z6 to rebuild. I've only done the head so far, 'cause the parts I want from fj distributors are still back ordered and I fried my head gasket on my DD being an idiot...lol...
I'm...
