treadwear still keeps me in FSP.

it has been awhile since you've read up on the rulebook. there are more allowances for SP now, and tighter tolerances for stock classes (upsizing and treadwear) . what keeps them legit is the "rain grooves" and treadwear .


when i last wore these tires on the mirage, it was legal back then too. the rules can be unbelievably stretched for cars with 2 or 3 different STOCK tire sizes........

so i cut through the last bolt this morning and within minutes the turbokits.com axleback was already mounted and tightened down.

the fitment is perfect. there are no sharp edges on the exhaust either, so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself. it weights about half the stock exhaust. the hardware that comes with it is big, and easy to put on and remove.

it sounds great. a small rumble down low, and doesn't drone at speed at all. when you get on it, it's a light growl and not excessive at all. when you shift at the limit, it has a small crackle like an srt4. hope it retains the sounds after it's broken in.

i was spotted last night by one of the folks i actually bought the car from at the dealership lol.

unclean photo of my automobile this morning.

decided to peel and respray my stock wheels. they have 5 coats of plasti-dip on them and 4 coats of "key lime" fluorescent paint by rustoleum.
