    must be a fake story
    is that shit from TheOnion

......over and over and over again until people finally realize and accept that it is not only their right but also their responsibility to protect themselves, because regardless of what they currently think/feel/believe no one else is obligated legally or otherwise to do it for them

When I first saw the story I didn't think it was a student shooting. UDel is in a very shitty area. The townies there are all fucking nuts. But who knows, that shit is crazy. My sister graduated there in 06.

No, but if the majority of responsible citizens had them, these instances would be greatly reduced.

Ya, I saw the bulletproof backpacks on the news. If you need to send your kid to school with one of those, you need to move somewhere else.

I'm sure that the people living in the areas where one would be demed nessacary couldn't afford one.

It's a sad state of affairs in this country. People who want to carry arms to protect themselves are villianised. The police or government have no leagel obligation to protecte the individual, just the populace as a whole. Yet the same govt wants to make it nearly impossible to get the right to carry a gun to protect yourself. Guess what they would like us to do is tuck it between our legs and "put the fuckin lotion in the basket"

My old highschool was just shut down today because of a student who had made death threats. He came into school when he was suspended and not the school is on lockdown and he's in police custody.

I would like the beat the shit out of his little prick ass and teach him a lesson, his misfit little sister used to send obnoxious text messages and heckle the hell out of my little cousin as well.

Also for the record, as Klyph and E know, guns save the world!

    no not quite

    exactly
this is one of those rare occurrences where i fully agree with blanco

criminals are far less likely to attempt violent crimes against an armed populous that is capable of fighting back

take for instance the recent home invasion / tripple murder in Cheshire CT (a few towns away from me)
two criminals broke into a home around 3am armed with a PELLET GUN and held the family hostage for hours
durring this time they beat father/husband just about to death and tied him up in the basement
the two daughters were beaten, tied to their beds and raped repeatedly through the night
the mother/wife was escorted to the bank by one of the criminals in the morning when the banks opened... she was forced to withdraw $15,000.00 (yes less than the price of a civic)
she was able to alert the teller in the bank that her family was being held hostage
the teller at the bank notified the police
the criminal had time to stop at a gas station and fill a container with gas, drive back to the house, strangle the mother/wife, light the 2 daughters on fire while still tied to their beds, light the rest of the house on fire, and were already driving away from the house when the cops finally showed up. the husband/father was the only survivor and is still in the hospital

now had either of the adults in that home owned and been trained to properly defend themselves with a firearm... the situation would have likely been much different
for instance: 3:00am - 2 criminals break into the house... 3:03am - 911 is alerted that 2 intruders have been shot... 3:15 - police show up... family is shaken but unharmed

And if all good, responsible people owned guns we would be in a good situation.

Except I don't shit $100 bills. All these hypothetical you guys throw out there are pretty humorous.
    Would've, could've, should've.

If some people weren't low life, scum sucking, shitbag, fuck twats, then the world wouldn't be plagued, but thats simply not the case.

IS that there is guns in America.....

How so? Japan is a gun free country, and if someone wants to kill you then they will find another method of doing it. Gun's are the quick way to scare and force normal people into fear so they give up money or to kill at a long range.

Take away guns all together...except for cops and military...and there will be less criminals with guns...and if someone wants to kill someone...then they have to resort back to knives's and swords.

Exactly...but if it wasn't there...then why need it?

I'd rather live in Japan because there is no guns, but due to other problems and efforts, I came back here. Given the chance...I'd be back there tomorrow. Why, Every one has honor, politeness, crime is Dependant on the white collar peeps (most crimes are done in corporate levels), and the low life's have respect towards others...and well...it's almost an utopia. Street thugs have better things to do than to do small time heist's and rape.... and since prostitution is available everywhere...the rape crimes are nearly non-existent. They would rather sit in front of a pachinko machine gambling instead of physically going out and pointing a gun at someone telling them to take their wallet. And theft is still there, but if you don't flaunt nice stuff, and keep shit secured in your possession...then it won't disappear.

And this coming from a guy who's dad is an AVID GUN COLLECTOR!!!

I traveled, saw the other side of life, and I understand why guns are just dumb. If you need a gun to protect yourself in your area...then just move. Also, normal people can run from people with knives and swords...but they can't outrun a gun. If you need a gun for self defense....then you are to lazy to use that time learning a proper self defense art like karate or judo.

People can keep the guns they have...but just ban bullets...and have guns turn into collectors' items.

pretty sad that America has a pack of 200 bullets for sale that is cheaper than a pack of 20 cigg's....
