Any Adobe Illustrator Gurus?

I'm kinda new to Illustrator and I am having a slight problem. I am using a TrueType font called Bauhaus 93. I cannot get illustrator to itallicize it. Microsoft Word and Macromedia Fireworks have no problems making it italic, but for some reason both Photoshop and Illustrator will not make it italic. It is pretty important that it be italic.

I tried saving a file from fireworks and then opening it in Illustrator but when you zoom way in, the image is all pixelated since it is no longer a vector based image.

Any Ideas as to how I can itallicize Bauhaus 93 in illustrator?

try installing the actual italic version.
