I have a B18C and I put in a B20 crank. After plugging the specs into the calc. I have a piston to deck clearance of -0.002. My question is if I use a Cometic gasket that measures 0.035 will that be acceptable being as it is larger than the reccomended distance of 0.030? My goal is to keep the compression up w/o creating clearance issues. Wth these specs I got 11.57:1 with a rod/stroke ratio of 1.55.
Thanks in advance!

The -0.002 measurement was with the B18C rods. With the LS/B20 rods, the clearance is 0.034. With an OEM gasket my CR is only 10.77. The short block is already assembled with the B20 crank only. Is the 0.033 clearance fatr enough to safely rev to 8000+ rpm's?

Thanks for your input. I'll clay the #1 cylinder after I get the HG to make sure the clearance is OK.
