I might be a CRX owner again!! I've been hunting on and off since I sold my last CRX. Found one! 91 CRX DX, Factory Frost White, zero rust, zero dents, 95,000 miles. It has been ZC swapped which is good and bad.. But it comes with a complete b18 swap as well as a slew of aftermarket parts (tokico blues, coil overs, header for both motors, stage 2 clutches, complete set of autometer gauges, turbo cams, blah blah, everything to turbo the ZC except the turbo itself. It was going to be a demo car for a performance shop but they scrapped it and went with something else, so there it sits, full of new parts, just chillin there for 2 years. Runs/drives good.

Going to go check it out tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Nothing wrong with the ZC itself.. But its been swapped and had a MPFI conversion done on it, which means it could have a hacked harness and shitty connections. When buying, I'd much rather buy it with the stock motor and parts being untouched and do the conversions and swap myself so I know they aren't rigged with bubble gum and duct tape. Hell, if it was untouched and super clean, I might have just left it that way.

Asking price is high, but he mentioned looking for an SUV, thinking of trading him my jeep. Its a great jeep but we just bought an element, so we are now a "2 suv with automatic transmissions" family now, and its already driving me batshit insane.

I understand completely. I was pumped when I got my CRX because it was bone stock.

No go. Went and stayed overnight. Mrs. Phyre got her tattoo finally.. Well, the outline of it, anyway. But thats another thread.

I was supposed to meet the guy at 10 this morning.. But he botched a bathroom remodel at a lady's house and had to tear out a wall chasing a water leak.. Bullshit or not, I don't know. Then he mentioned that it doesn't have a dash, as he was going to fab up a metal dash. Makes sense being that it comes with a full set of new aftermarket gauges. Anyway, he spent all day fixing the wall and was reluctant to show it to me tonight. I called him around 9pm on my way out of town and he wanted to put it off til next weekend. in his words "the car isn't going to go anywhere, noone wants to buy a project car".. This has me put off. I told him I'd drive back down there and meet with him tomorrow, and he said he would try to accomidate.. But now Its gone from "Perfect, beautiful running car" to "dashless car" to "project car" in three phone calls. I'm thinking its a beater and he is full of shit. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe we'll see tomorrow.

If the body is straight and rust free, I can scrape together a new interior if its completely gutted or something.. I've got this image in my head of him pulling an all nighter trying to wire the fucker up so it will run as advertized, rigging all kinds of crazy shit. Hope I'm just crazy.

Guy finally called, I met up with him, he showed me the rex.. Busted windshield, zero interior, no heater, no AC, none of it. 2 seats and a stock gauge cluster sitting on the column and two fucked up door panels make up the entire interior of the car. ZC motor is running like crap, popped a CEL and the ECU started spewing codes.

And I bought it. Will do a thread on it tomorrow. I'm tired and headachey and high from breathing exhaust fumes for the 2.5 hour drive home.

they're like women. they lure you in with their sexyness, and once you find out they're a total mess inside, its too late.
