Anyone else heard of this game or playing it on the Alpha yet?

My brother is obsessed so he made me sign up for it (it's free for the time being).

I've just been building random shit all day. www.minecraft.net. Create a user name and you can sit there and build a 3d world with blocks of stone, wood, glass, brick, etc. Its kinda fun.

I finished that building... I hit the top of the world, can't build up any further. :( At least I beat out my brothers taller building to the left of the diamond building.

I have myself a an obsidian factory just above the very bottom. I have almost 200 bricks of obsidian. I plan on making myself a sweet ass castle that cannot be destroyed.

I feel better knowing that my bunker cannot be destroyed by anyone or anything regardless of the lack of enemies :)

Although if you play on a server it is a good idea to have a obsidian bunker with a switchable door so folks cant grief you.

I made a portal this evening as well. Ill have to post some screen caps in a bit. I have a pool, a wood working shed, tree farm, cacti and reed farm and a smelting shop that has a glass floor over the ocean.

Yesterday I was playing for quite some time. Outside getting porkchops and I notice this random cave so I start to explore it. Kept digging in random spots and found an opening to the other side of the mountain.

Then I built up my entrance, went into my house and started digging in another spot and managed to hit that cave on the same depth level to connect my main house to that cave. Talk about pure luck. lol

Then I started digging in my mine until I hit the bedrock. Managed to find Red Glowstone, diamond and Gold along with a good chunk of coal. That was a great operation right there. Can't wait to get the rest of it dug out.
