serious question, if you had to decide between piecing together a non vtec d16 with cable transmission and carburating it (easily done) or getting a donor car and doing a full mpfi swap, one has 0 wiring and the other also isn't terrible
 
I got a promotion to manage a midas literally 52 miles away from my house, the f150 will cost me literally a arm and a leg to commute that far, I cant afford a car payment and my house+utilities by myself, and the civic deserves better than to have 100+ miles put on it a day, I have to make a adult decision and get a good daily driver, I would only trade under the strict agreement that if he ever decides to get rid of the car I have first dibs, I know the car will be taken care of , also the car will be taken care of and garage kept
 
But will it be taken care of?


Seriously though, why not trade the truck for a 40mpg+ econo-bucket? EF? DA? Kia? Hyundai? Dawoo Lanos? Something that you don't mind running up the miles on.
 
the truck needs alot to get traded for something half way decent, its got a cracked windshield , peeled clear coat, and 4 mix matched pull off tires, no ac , and a bad window regulator, no market for 90s gas guzzlers here lol and I get good use out of the truck when needed
 
i thought there was a lien holder on the title so you couldnt do this?
