well after 3 years with the civic and countless time put into it im going to sell it. it hurts me deep inside to part with it, no seriously. that car got me through some rough times and it kept on going no matter how much abuse i threw at it, but i think its time to move on to a newer, more grown up type of car. ive been looking at the 2003 saab 9-3 turbo, subaru impreza wrx sti, VW jetta turbo, and some other cars mostly of german engineering. im selling the civic at the end of the school year to a kid in my class for $6000.:D

thats debatable. he didn't say new. and if it's his first job after college it will be expensive. he'll pay $300/mo car loan and $300/insurance.

if he's lucky and get $35k first job, that is only about $25k take home. so out of $2000/month, $600 on a car is a lot.

None of those cars are particularly exciting. The STi is, but it's gas consumption is just stupid. No 4 cylinder should get that, turbo or not.

I know a Smart for sale in Pennsylvania :)

Without a doubt, the MOST INTELLIGENT car you can buy is a used Honda. The rest is a matter of what you actually want. For the price of these cars you can get into things you would never thought you could - a Mits GT3000, a nice N/A Supra, a Mercedes, etc. The world is your oyster when you get above $8000.

actually i drove the saab and i really liked it. it was quick, quiet, and comfortable. 4-door is also a must for me. its a pain in the ass to pull a car seat out of the back of a 2-door
