Obama is actually good politician, he hasn't been corrupted yet. Even if I disagree with him I have to say he has my respect. But if you think your average blue collar American would vote for anyone with an African last name your about 100 years ahead of your time. I'm not being racist, just being real...

Blue collar Americans are the dominant voters now, but minorities usually don't vote (statistically). Obama running for president would ignite an absolute hurricane of minority voting. Possibly enough to win, if he played it right.

These topics never cease to amaze me with how blatantly partisan they are. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Partisan politics and those who clutch to it for their very life (you can see both sides in every topic) will destroy this country from the inside out. Nobody gives a fuck about actually helping the country as a whole anymore. It's really sad.

Did you even read the thread, there really isn't one "Straight Ticket" comment made in it, other then the Bush bashing. Hell I even gave props to 08ama for Christ's sake (two points for anyone who's on top of their game enough to know why I spelt his name like that).

some people were bashing bush, I criticized the far left and former President Nixon, then someone gave props for all the moderate Dem's who got elected, then I criticized Nancy pelosi (who's nuttier then a fruit cake) and actually tipped my hat to 08ama. Then battle pope (in his own way) say he disagreed with some of the far left stances in our country, all and all I would call it a normal Internet debate. I see no real "straight ticket" stances, if you think I'm GOP or on the far right go look up my platform in the "Right or Left" thread.
