Well the title says all, Im sure all of you guys are familiar with my love with these old ragged out shitboxes, im going to go pick up this 89 sunday, its not in as great of condition as my white car, but the interior is perfect, and it has a very healthy motor , I text drove it on st. pattys day, one cool thing about 89's is that they are the lightest sho's made, ive allready got the parts together to do the 96+ 11.6 brake upgrade, more pics to come

based on his car builds, my guess is he has a random tag he slaps on his cars.

Insurance, registration? who the fawk needs that.

Besides, we don't even know if any of his pieces make it out of the driveway.

white one payed all my bills and still bought me another vehicle, anyone would be stupid not too sell a vehicle when getting more than double investment price , the black car has just as much potential , and I tag, register , and drive all my vehicles, I do have to go to work you must realize that, im seriously thinking about giving a shot at plastidipping this car, and with some different wheels , 2000 wet sand the headlights, and my 17s and my moog springs, car will look , and perform great, you have to realize guys, I dont like the car for the body, its for the powerplant, and btw heres the boosted white cars engine on the right

I can agree on that one. Before you slithered into HS it was me that was the brunt of the jokes.

I start a project, get offered money for it, Sell it. Now everyone - even my friends and family - regard me as "someone who can't finish a project". Truth be told, I'm making money on these without even completing them.

My 87 CRX was my project that stuck with me for years and years.. No one seems to ever remember it. That car cost me $14,000 from start to finish, but in the multiple times I sold it, bought it back, sold it, bought it back (etc) I made about $10k on it and still drove it for the better part of 12 years.

Turbomirage and Chris from NY were part of my 6 month transfer plan for my 91 NX2000. That car traded hands like 10 times in less than a year in different stages of project status. I still doubt it's finished and running.

The difference between you two is simple. You did quality work. I can't remember a time you did something to a car and I thought, who lets this guy near a tool set?

You both definitely like "quirky" cars. I don't understand either one of your sense of taste. But that's your decision.

And lastly, Cel, you're not a total douche who seems to revel in the fact that an entire website thinks he's a douche.

Speaking of my sense of taste, I'm opening the flames up in this thread (Because hey, why not hijack the shit out of this thread, eh?)

My Scooby doo is up on the lift at the Subaru specialist here in town. I rent, and can't work on my cars where I am now(I still have my tools and equipment all in storage, so I'm not out of the game). The rust got so bad on the Wagon that it's breaking in two and no longer seems to appreciate being on a lift.

So I have it up there to swap in the new trans that I had in storage (I have 3 more), put in the new axles (I have a collection 8, in new boxes) and brakes (I have about 12 complete brake sets for the car, in the box). I also decided that maybe it's time to swap out the carb for something. I wanted to sit down and do a dual cadron carb setup, but I lack the funds and time right now. So we are looking at installing a single Weber and removing the emissions control stuff.

And I looked at a quote for about $4000.

That doesn't include the new wheels I need to put on (I have to get Wagonwheels (American racing stamped steel) in 6x140 Ford, then punch out two holes for the 4 lug setup. Then I have to cut and roll the fenders to make them fit, and add fender flares. Then the 8 gauge air tank front and rear bumpers, the 8 gauge nerf rock sliders (Because, again, the car broke in fucking HALF) and some sort of paint job.

I'm looking at a serious bill here.

To add: I now commute 135 miles each way to work, and the Subaru is so tired that it tops out at 60mph, shakes like Michael J Fox in a freezer, and spits fire out of it's side-exit exhaust pipe (Illegal in 2 of the 3 states I drive through to get to work). It's a total cop magnet (Which also doesn't help that I commonly transport my own firearms through New York State evertime I go).

So I'm putting the wagon into deep storage, and getting a new car. Looking at some 2000-2004 BMW 330CIs.

So I'm bracing for the uncomfortable threads when I announce such a purchase. Here is a sampling:

    "y u no finish cobra?"
"you're always moving from project to project, just finish one and be done with it" (This is gonna be my fuckin' epitaph.)
"I thought you hated german cars?!"
"Oh, you finally bought a car made in the past 20 years lol"

    The list will go on.

Project Number #1 for the Celerity Think Tank is well underway. Building a SHTF homestead that me and the ol' lady can finally retire to. I retired last year, and then lost 7 contracts, got hit with monthly $700 electric bills, it's been snowing here everyday since December 23rd (Seriously. I drive a Mustang through upstate NY for shit's sake.) I was named VP at the startup company I have been fostering for over a year, and signed on some new clients for 12 month contracts.

And I used to enjoy showing up at client sites with an 84 subaru with a smiley face on the hood and flames spitting out the side dumps, but I'm starting to think that it's a good idea to work within a certain image. I mean our company has employees now, company cars, an inventory and retail space.

Still undecided whether I'm cutting my hair or taking out my earrings. I really, really do not want to. I'm retired, dammit.

Addendum : I have 8 major hills to cross on my commute through NY. I have to downshift to -> 3RD FUCKING GEAR <- to make them, at about 35 mph. That's not an exageration. I have Semis jackknifing in my rear view and shit.

The Cobra still remains. I'm putting a few dollars here and there for it. But if I need to sell it to make my plans for the companies I'm involved with, the projects I have lined up, and my SHTF property I'm selling the Cobra. I don't give a shit who makes fun of me. I'm sick of this planet, and since I can't get off of it, I'm just going to hide in the woods.

We don't care for your taste, but we don't like you because you buy cars that we would appreciate, then you take a hammer to them and photograph it for us to comment on.

You're like Frank from "It's always sunny in philadephia"

on same note, comparing a regular taurus to a SHO is like putting a base model civic and a CTR next to each other and comparing them
