went to match.com, paid $70 for six months on a profile. Now I get emails from girls in Eastern Europe all day claiming they're from my area. Example:

Hi!
How are you? My name is Tatyana.
I like your profile.. Write me if I interesting you filenta at yahoo.
Hope to see your letter soon.



I've done a couple searches, found some nice girls. I send them winks or simple messages like "hey what's up, saw your profile and thought I would drop you a line. etc" no replies

yeah, match sucks. i was on there like 2 years ago for a month. met one chick, sent me pics... looked ok, seemed cool...
picked her up and shes a deuce and a half, and a total fucking nerd. and now, I'M a nerd, and i couldn't put up with her. i brought her to a movie so i wouldn't have to talk to her. lol brought her home and never spoke to her again

you could do a couple things to help you succeed
first off, you want to start your approaches with girls that are kinda not so hot, gets you used to starting conversations and gives you a boost cause they more than likely will not ignore you

second, you gotta start conversations without wanting anything...
you can't just go up and ask for a date, you gotta just try to meet new people etc
the chances of you finding a single girl and getting a date are slim
the chances of you making a new friend is pretty high
and the chances that this chick will know someone who is single is absolutely through the roof...
make friends... it'll work, trust me

and pay attention
girls are way too shy and embarassed by this shit
you need to watch for any signal, it might just be a glance, but thats all you'll get cause they don't want to be caught etc... so watch for it and then try and strike up conversation...

also look into local forums...
like ctforums.com for example...
i would imagine when that gets going there will be all sorts of people will all sorts of interests and the only thing bringing them together is location... which is exactly what you need
a buffet of new people to meet and talk to that are local to you...

i have to mention that i don't follow my own advice, i'm kinda shy and all that bullshit
but one thing that seems to work well, me and my friend are both involved but we still like the hunt
so we'll go out and see who can get more numbers or whatever
the worst they can say is no, and you always gotta one up your friend, so the chances of you talking to a hot cool chick are gonna go up

You gotta lose this phrasing. I used to consider it "I'm lonely" until I realised just how miserable that sounds. "I'm single and you're single" not only sounds more positive, it is.

If my girl told me that my words would be,

"If is's that hard to choose, then I'll make your decision for you. Get the fuck out."

You may really enjoy a relationship, but instead of just letting yourself fall completely for a girl and then placing your emotional health in her hands, you can make a very difficult decision and cut it off before you have invested more than you wanted to loose. You must objectively evaluate your relationships and dispassionately decide what is best for you, or you will get used and burned.

I don't think all women are whores and can't be trusted, but there are just some things that push or even break my limits.

P.S.-I ussually would prefer the single life. It was easier and landing a chick when I needed some ass wasn't hard at all. But I love the gf and the situation I have now.

Even more truth. The I want a girl look never works. To use my situation as an example again. Not only was I drinking when I met my current gf, I was working on 7 or 8 different girls in the same time frame. I was just trying to have a blast in college and a great relationship fell into my lap.
