These assholes get away with anything, because they are muslims. It's ok to lash out and attack (Israel, the US, France, Britain, Turkey, and riot in the streets of Denmark) but it's NOT ok to attack back.

Iran (under the auspicions of the "Muslim Hordes") already fucked with the US in the Barbary conflicts in the mediterrean. They never stopped that fight with us, it still goes on.

It's SAFE for the muslim to threaten the US, because our hands are so tied with proper responses. We won't even call them names for fear of retaliation and losing an election.

Iraq did these things, we went to war with them, and now everyone is bitching about how unfair we are. Iran is doing it because IT FUCKING WORKS.

yeah now that i think of it. I was reafding this as soon as i got in the office and was like WTF? I stay out of politics as much as i can but everyonce in awhile i just got to chat about it with someone. Mostly so they fill me in on who and why its going on.

This world is def. not going in the right direction with all these wars and countries wanting to bomb each other every chance they get over stupid shit. Sometime i wish the US would let them bomb each other and get it over with once and for all.

war with Iran would be a mistake at the current time
the younger population in Iran is very unhappy with the way things are currently being run... they are on the edge of a revolution in that country... if we step in we will be viewed as an invading force... and just like anywhere else the population will rally behind their rulers to defeat the invading force (its kinda like your brother that you dont get along with and fight with all the time, but if anyone was to fuck with him, you will be the first one to have his back)... they are also Muslims... that means we will be viewed not only as invading their land, but also as trying to start a new holy war or crusade or some such shit... and seeing that we already went after one Muslim country... that will definitely be viewed as us waging war against or trying to defeat Islam... its a shit storm no mater how you look at it
our best move would be to continue watching them and making sure they dont end up with a nuke... if they do get a nuke, it will be lobbed at Israel first chance they get... and that will be the opening bell to the biggest shit storm any of us can imagine...
i fucking hate sitting by watching and waiting / hoping for things to happen... but i really think in this case its our best move

Do you guys think that the video and audio were really "fabricated"? What would be the point of that, from the US's perspective?

    I just don't get it...

But either way, going to war with Iran right now would not be a good idea. Not only because of the muslim aspect, but because they are also a pretty strong country in general.

I believe iran already said in clear words that if they ever get a nuke they WILL fire at Isreal the first chance they get.

    Nice conspiracy theory.

The world, if they support modern western ideals, should want war with the Iranian tyranny.

how much of the evidence that supported the iraq war turned out to be false?

we see the track record our military is having in afghanistan and iraq, going into iran would prove to be yet another waste of time and money

why the fuck does every one blame bush ...

The nation was set up with a system of checks and balances so that one person or group couldnt act without the consent of the other branches pretty much ...

not to mention everyone and there mom was for the war when 9/11 happened. Now that everything isnt as pretty and patriotic as it was in the beggining they are looking for a scape goat ...

im not for or against the war but ...

    only congress can delcare war,

the american citizens voted for everyperson in congress ...

therefor the american citizens declared war as a whole ....

you talking about the biological weapons the US sold to iraq?

bush is the "leader" of the country
same as when a company does poorly the CEO gets the blame
its his job to run the company and if it doesn't perform he gets fired
    same concept

I'm sorry but you are incorrect. I don't do politics because I feel like I'm attacking someone else's logic. I have taken my fair share of poli sci classes and I'm a very moderate so, there is little to any fanatical basis for my opinion. At that. You're very wrong. If you look back in history, from the beginning of the union to now, a president has the ability to use his presidential war powers, to place immediate aid, and troops in harms way if he thinks its for his nations best interests. At that, he must ask after he has done so within an XX amount of days to keep the troops there longer, then again after XXX amount of days. With this, it is very easy to persuade voters with "evidence". Bush did so in a highly flawed way, giving much weight to this controversial war.

Presidential War Powers, a very moderate book, going over the use of president's war acts, details what lead up to every conflict that isn't classified and how those conflicts were enacted and dealt with by none other than the president. It's a very interesting read, and gives great light onto the ability of the president to "make war", so to speak. I'd suggest reading it, as it doesn't give you an opinion on the matter, but the details on the lead up and the enactment of "war". This lets the reader gather his/her own opinion upon if the president/person enacting the "war" was vindicated or not.

    Why? Check this one out:

The Raw Story | Report reveals Vietnam War hoaxes, faked attacks

Bay of Tonkin. The reason we escalated and got involved in Vietnam. It never happened. And it's not some conspiracy nut saying so, it's a declassified NSA report.

My Dad was a part of the Signals Intelligence group in the Navy during Vietnam, a codebreaker with Top Secret Crypto clearance... He's currently contacting the group who received the report because this whole thing hits so close to home.

EDIT: He's calling people on the phone the old fashioned way, I found the report in about 2 minutes on their site. :) These look like details of the very missions he was on. As for the Tonkin stuff, the initial event wasn't faked, but the 2nd attack seems to have never happened. It was the second attack that prompted our escalation however.
