B i've read both your threads on this subject. What Steve and I were doing was the childish name-calling stuff. Ji was never taking my side. By posted what you have about this subject, not only are you laying down the law, but also recruiting peer pressure to enforce this additionally. Keeping these threads unlocked is encouraging discussion... hopefully some of this is productive.

This latest drama between myself and Steve started last week in that Dating Habits thread, when Steve insisted what was said about dating Chinese girls was true. Sorry for being so sensitive about that one, but hey, I'm Chinese. Secondly, Steve didn't actually post any real details to back up his claims. And I was speaking from my own and my sisters' dating experiences.

So yeah... the rest of you can go ahead police my future posts and Steve's...

You started this thread to make the rest of HondaSwap aware of the general situation, and you left it unlocked. By peer pressure, I meant that since we all know what we are not suppose to do now, in the future others might see shit starting and PM that person or persons to cut the crap. The others being made aware of what bothered you today might help prevent future outbreaks as that person or persons involved would not want to be responsible for causing HondaSwap to go away again. That's what I meant by using peer pressure to keep the order on this board.

i think the whole point is, act civil towards people as you would in real life. don't be a dick and say stuff while hiding behind a computer. if you have a problem with a particular person, talk to them face to face or use the PM system. or avoid them. there's plenty of people i don't like. but i don't go out yelling in public 'what a )(*$@#' a person is. either i shut up and avoid them or talk to them privately.

Wow. I mean wow. I just read part of B thread, and from what I can make of it, people just shouldn't be total dumbasses on HS. If you want to be one in real life, that's cool, just keep your idiocy out of threads on this board and go somewhere else, like the backlot or something. I personally don't remember how I got to this site when I first joined, but I know the first thing I read on here was Project Pissedoffsol. There was a lot of stupid funny threads on there, some just post whoring, but the attitude was positive. That is basically what drew me to the site. Just leave any unecessary drama for the Real World.

Hondaswap rocks. I've been here since umm December I think, and I really like it here. There's a nice balance of everything, minimal flaming, and a form of mutual respect most of the time. Some pretty knowledeable people, which is the best part. Well said, B.

Howabout we just leave the member's lounge to the members, no rules, a disclaimer on the way in (Something about all content must be legal and users are responsible for what they post), and just leave the asilum to the inmates.

Obviously strict Emanners need to be observed in tech related forums, but as long as you have a memeber's lounge you'll have this problem in some form or another. And you can't just get rid of it because people will lose interest.

hey here's a novel idea.

why dont you redirect (and ftp all past threads to my server) to my site?

bring a skeleton crew of mods and admins with you to moderate on my site. ill give them total mod/admin priveledges to that particular forum.

gets rid of the drama and bullshit on hondaswap and allows this forum to be a strictly technical honda site with no b.s.

there is a thread on my site explaining more.


1. half of the people who post in the members lounge on hondaswap, will NOT goto my site. that eliminates 99.9% of the drama.

2. the people that DO come to the site, will be more apt to keep their shit under control.

I completely agree with B, and you can call it ass kissing if you want, but I call it total agreement. Joking around shouldn't be a big deal, but the second you insult someone... I totally understand. I have been on here under 2-3 different names, for about 3 years now, and I have to say that I have learned tons about Honda's. I will admit I started off as a ricer, no doubt. But, thanks to this site and alot of you guys I have learned a lot, I am still an advanced beginner, but I have come a long way. if you REALLY want the shit gone, move the forums to my site, and WALLA. no more drama, hondaswap goes strictly technical and thats that.
