:laughing1:Uh, since when did a d-series have a redline of 7500? The fuel cut is at 7200, and the redline is at 6800.
You probably broke a valve-spring. Just take the oil-cap off, and put both tubes of JB-Weld into it, then you should be good to go. Just run it at about 5000 rpm for about a minute in the driveway, then bring it up to 7500. Should be good to go.
:doh2:thanks for your input, but the valve springs seems to be OK....what I just noticed is that when I take out the 3rd plug wire the engine does idle the same...the spark-plug is ok, I switched it with another one
You still might have a problem with the springs. Do you have a clicking noise when you rev the engine? Try the JB-Weld, you'd be suprised.
