    D16Z6 swap q's

.. if his car is a 1992 specific civic (any model) then a Si/EX engine harness will work no doubt (plug n' play no wiring needed) -- but -- if he owns a 93-95 non-vtec model, he'll still have to wire in VTEC from the passenger side shock tower-thrut he firewall-to the ecu plugs regardless of...

    p13 diagram (pinout)

you can peep out my OBD1 diagram here: http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.92-95_1.jpg also you can download this excel spreadsheet of mine which has the pinouts for a 92 civic which should be about 98% the same as an OBD1 prelude ecu's pinouts...

    Nacho, BBQ and ECU chips

well, for the most part, you don't know exactly what your gettting when you purchase an Ebay chip, even though the person selling the chip says its a specific program. If you want to reprogram your ecu, you should hit up a reliable source for reprogramming needs. Btw, the only time you need to...

ls-vtec in a 96 ex civic coupe, do i need a new Si

Here's my diagram(s) for wiring up VTEC on a 96-98/OBD2a vehicle (you can ignore the other sensors listed there since you own an EX): http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.96-98.jpg and http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.96-98_a-plug.jpg btw, you dont need to wire in a KS because...

ECU Help - USDM B18C5 in an EK w/ a CTR ECU. Need

The best engine harness you should try and get is a 99-00 EX or Si coupe engine harness. It has VTEC & knock sensor wiring integrated into it, so there's no need to wire those items in at all. Then get yourself an OBD2b->OBD1 ecu jumper (I sell all types of jumper harnesses if you're...

    Converting LS P75 to VTEC

bah...spec overload! I haven't got around to converting a P75 to VTEC, its almost not worth doing. I've only gone so far as converting P05 & P06 ecu's...kinda gave up on them as a whole though. Thanks for the clarifying Blundy ...

    h22 obd1 obd2 ? can i do this?

since your prelude is already OBD-1 you should keep it that way to keep wiring & ecu aspects simplified. You dont need a jumper harness to run the P13 ecu. A P13 ecu will plug right into your existing ecu plugs. If you're looking for a P13 ecu, I have a few for sale. They're auto P13's chipped...

How to tell on ECU what OBD that it is.

Honda made 3 OBD1 LS ecu's all of which have the same programming: PR4 (which was also the same part number used for OBD-0 LS ecu's too) P74 P75 Just look at the ecu plugs (as seen in E_SolSi's image) to distinguish an ecu's OBD type.

OBD II B16a in an EG

There's an amendment you should make to your almost perfect list: (optional engine harness) - using a US OBD2a or OBD2b integra engine harness (its fully compatible with any OBD1 civic /integra) using this specific harness will alleviate a person most of the modifications you just described...

OBD1 WIRING HARNESS OBD0 ENGINE AND COMP

heh, ok, now that you've painted a better picture... Perhaps you should get everything together before dropping the motor in, 'cuz you're gonna hate life when you drop this motor in and find out OBD-0 electronics isn't compatible with an OBD1 vehicle. -- especially if this car is your daily...

    Knock Sensor

wrong to some extent. AUTO P13's are chippable (to 5speed spec at least). In fact, I have a few for sale. As far as your KS goes, curious, did you wire the KS in from scratch or was it already integrated into your engine harness? If you wired it in from scratch, I have a feeling the problem...

    MUGEN CHIPPEN P13 ECU

there's been known idling issues with OBD1 P13 ecu's, especially when dropping an H22 engine into a civic. It was pinpointed that the EGR is to blame for this, even if the P13 ecu is chipped -- that won't necessarily fix the idling issue. As far as I've seen, there is no P13 program available...

    Which ecu for...

once you've decided which ecu & head you wanna go with, you're gonna have to perform some engine harness modifications to be compatible with a SOHC VTEC head, mainly, add VTEC wiring, knock sensor, & perform the IACV fix. http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.96-98.jpg and...

    MUGEN CHIPPEN P13 ECU

<_< ...lol...what do you think Hondata is? its form of reprogramming (chipping) your ecu. A P28 needs to be socketed (just like being chipped) in order for Hondata's system to communicate to the ecu & work their magic on the ecu.

    Converting LS P75 to VTEC

Your concern about 2 P75's leading a useless life is amusing, but to answer your questions, NO, you can't use P28 parts in a P75 ecu because the P28 motherboard & P75 motherboard are totally different. You might find this amusing tho -- Honda built the OBD1 P75 & P72 (GSR) ecu's on the same...

LSVTEC in LS INTEGRA - wiring

yes, like E_SolSi mentioned, you will have to wire in VTEC manually. 90-91 US integra's never came with VTEC wiring dormant in the underdash like 92 civics do. Using a P28 will be easy if you own a 92-93 integra. Does your integra's make fall under the 92-93 year? if so good, your car is OBD1...

    which dizzy?

DITTO. I've seen some people use a SOHC dizzy on their B-series engine, and it worked, but it didn't last long. Car starts to run shitty. B-series dizzy is the only way. really makes me wonder why people skimp on important-ass things like this (and converting an OBD1 vehicle to OBD-0 spec)...

OBD1 WIRING HARNESS OBD0 ENGINE AND COMP

If you're wanting to convert your EG civic to OBD-0 spec ->> SHAME ON YOU <<< That's ass-backwards and I highly recommend NOT doing it. Don't skimp on wiring things like this. Just find yourself any OBD1 (92-95) LS distributor (should be cheap). Any 92-95 LS dizzy will work on your car if...
