I don't know about your wife or if you drive the Tiggy at all, but the lack of power on this thing is so dreadful and there isn't one tuner out there who has a worthwhile tune yet other than the buggy JB4 piggy back and NeuSpeed but the gains are mininal.
APR seems to be dragging their feet with releasing a tune and im hearing the new Gen3B EA888 2.0T doesn't appear to be able to make much more power over stock and we are looking at like 30hp 40tq at best. APR was getting 93HP and 79TQ with the 2017 VW Tiguan on Stage 1 High Torque tune giving the 2017 VW Tiguan Gen EA888 2.0t 321hp and 351tq(on 93oct) which is outstanding. The 2019 Tiggy would end up with around 214hp and 260TQ(184hp 220tq stock) with a Stage 1 tune which is weak sauce. I mean...those should be the stock numbers.
And now the 2021 Tiguan R will be coming out with the rumored Golf R 333hp engine in it although no one is sure the US will get it.
Alrighty i seem to be full of rants lately...done
If they do bring an R powered Tiguan to the states we will probably trade my wifes in and get one. I do wish they had brought the VW T-Roc R to the states though. Those things are pretty damn cool.
that will change in 2-3 years im sure. it took 4 years for the veloster to be obd tuned. its just a matter of time.
