the miata has had recent full brakes and everything serviced under the hood. newer tires. lots of dealer service history. i popped the oil fill cap and it was very nice inside. underneath there was not a single spec of rust or discoloration. it has a goodwin racing heimholz thingie axleback that sounds great and zero drone but it does come with the stock axleback. i may put the optional baffle in or just swap/sell the axleback. it is a bit loud but sounds very nice. the top rear window trim needs to be serviced (there is a TSB out for it i'm sure i can get it fixed for free or even print the hooks myself lol or even just use a piece of velcro). it will get a nice alignment in the spring and a full detail.
i've driven dozens of miatas in various trims on and off the course, i always wanted an ND club RF for myself and we had our eye on one for the same price in a little less great condition but the price for this was great and once i got into/under the car i knew it was the right choice. shes had her eyes set on some sort of convertible for her next car but not many if any real options for a manual one.
Miata maintenance today…. Cleaned the roof drains and filters, fixed the droopy rear window fabric, installed the GWR baffle, connected the mirror to the garage door opener.
Kristen strikes again lol got a chunk of ice through the grille when it came off a lifted truck that didn’t get cleaned off by some idiot. Also got a flat but that will be dropped off to be patched.
the miata would be more expensive if this happened lol . she was really bent out of shape over it. i may frame the pieces for the living room. im just glad the car went a year without getting hit by anything but cones jumping in front of it. 140 bucks for the grille piece at shopDAP. its just money right
35 bucks for the patch we are back in business there.
Yesterday was pretty nice so I aired up the tires in the bike turned the key and took a little ride. If you ever asked me before yesterday if I would be riding in March I would laugh in your face.
