Hello so to start I'm not most mechanically inclined. I recently bought a 99 civic ex for very cheap. The car ran like shit but I figured i could fix it. Come to find out it has a d16y7 head. And the vtec solenoid is just hanging there as it has no place. The car starts but the idling is all over the place. It constantly sounds like it's about to die then picks up so on and so forth. It stalls quite a bit at low speed as it struggles to keep rpms up at low speed. I know the best course of action is to buy a y8 and swap it back but I'm strapped on funds. Any suggestions on how to temporarily fix this would be much appreciated. Thanks
