Hello HondaSwappers,
We are ramping up a bit and are considering adding a few staff members to the team. We've lost a few staff members over the course of the year due to 'growing up' and having other priorities in life. No one has been 'fired' and there are no hard feelings involved on either side. It has just become time for them to move on from HondaSwap to take care of other things in their live's right now.
Tab and Mike Bergey are no longer on the staff. I'm sure you haven't seen them around lately. I haven't either We may have a couple others faze out as well, but nothing is official except these two members.
Thus, we are looking to replace/add at least 2-3 positions at this time.
If you are interested in joining on, please know the following:
Additional tasks may be assigned or asked for volunteers at random depending on what comes up.
Requirements:
We are looking for solid, respectable community members who have contributed a lot to the site over the years and plan to continue to do so in the foreseeable future. If you have 20 posts, please don't waste our time. If you have infractions/negative rep/negative itrader feedback, please don't waste our time.
To apply, please send me a PM short essay containing at LEAST the following:
Yes, you WILL be judged on your writing style. No, this isn't English class, but it will act as a sample of your ability to perform a required task. Since all aspects of this site involved writing and reading, writing correctly is a big part of being a successful staff member.
I'm expecting a LOT of pm's many have asked over the years for this opportunity and i'm sure i will have many applications to go over. Thus, I most likely will not be able to reply to all applications, so don't be offended if you do not hear back from me. I appreciate everyone who applies.
I will likely narrow the field down to 5 or so applicants and then bring the current moderators in for the final nominations.
I will be accepting applications for the next week. Tues, 10/29/2009 at midnight i will not accept any more and discard any sent in after that without even reading them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you chose to apply.

- moderator positions are un-paid. There are a few perks, but a paycheck is not one of them
- You will be expected to be on your best behavior in ALL threads at ALL times. You will represent US as a site, not just your self or your own opinions.
- You are expected to be on the site at least once a day most days and peruse all forums, not just the sections you are interested in.
