ACID

i just downloaded ACID pro 4.0f today, and have almost no idea what im doing, but i want to make some techno, and i know ACID is a good program to use.

so basically if anyone on here is fluent in ACID or has some idea on how to make tracks from scratch, hit me up on the PM, or just drop a line here.

its a loop program. you gotta use samples.

the electronica shit i posted waaaay back was done with acid.


get a triton or somethin and make your own samples, then load them to your comp.

Just for starting, search for like "acid samples" or go to sonic foundry's website and try to dl some of their samples or even the preassmbled sample packages (has like 8 tracks and a sample project for them). It'll give you an idea of how to start.

If you have a few grand to throw away then go get a triton

then you said to use it for making samples? wtf just use the samples it comes with if not make your own samples using a cheap keyboard

but since you said you just downloaded acid chances are you're not willing to pay money for it "both the program and board" =)

there's also tons of "COST MONEY" programs that let you use software samples so theres no need for a keyboard/rackmount

I love owning hardware VS software but it takes money....

the Triton keyboards range from $2000-$3500 bucks the rackmount goes for $1500 stick with software unless you want to take music somewhere other then just a hobby

you should also look into Fruity Loops "google it" thats a very easy program to use IMO

thanks guys, that modarchive site is pretty nice.

yeah, this is just an "im bored and want to make music" thing, so im not trying to be serious.

the nice thing about acid is, Sony will let you download the full version of the program, and if you have a serial # then the whole program works, if not you just get the sample verson.

30sec + google = ACID 4.0f KeyGen
