Fair enough... saw the post about the SRT-4, you can get the Turbo 1 upgrade from the dealer for like, $340 I believe (someone might know for sure) and its 30HP and some more torque. Not a bad deal.

Some of the 0-60's were a bitch to find, so some of them I never did. Just an FYI on the GTI though. The 1.8T weighs less, burns a quicker 0-60, and has a fairly inexpensive chip that will give you impressive gains.

Ok... I'm going to sleep, hope this helped some. If anyone knows the numbers I dont have, or found something different, let me know I'll fix it.

i actually work at a dodge dealership, and well, there are factory upgrades from mopar for the srt-4, i just haven't looked into them. i'll ask the guy at the parts department today at work and see how much the upgrades cost, and the power output. post em up later.

Dwarfs honda-tech.com) they have TONS of wrx's with lower miles for 15k or so. the resale value on the WRX and STI have really not been that strong compared to the 2.5RS. Hell, i have even seen some STI's on ebay with buy now prices at around 22-24 with one years millage on them. Thats almost 10k lose in a year. Thats almost as bad as a ford.

That's Ebay, man. Prices are always lower. Typically, with a regular private or stealership sale, with one year's mileage they'll go for $24k-$26k. That's a loss of about $5-$7k, which is pretty common for ANY car after you drive it off the lot.

Are you kidding? There is so much stuff out there for the RS/WRX/STi. The RS has been around for awhile, and the WRX and the STi have only been around for a few years, but the aftermarket following for those cars is huge, and only getting bigger.

i did see a newer prelude, like 98 on ebay for a little under six grand buy it now. It was probably a salvage title.
the wrx has a ton of aftermarket parts available for it. 'nuff said.
evidently the srt-4 neon is awesome. well...the motor is. i heard some bullshit about the rear windows arent power windows but the front ones are because production and design was rushed. I've never sat in one to check. I've also heard that with mopar parts, you can get that neon into low low 1/4 mile times.

Dealers blue book is NADA, but a dealer really goes by black book prices when he looks at what a car is worth.

NADA, Edmunds, and KBB are used at a lot of dealers.

Most dealers will show KBB prices but perfer to go by NADA/Edmunds prices that are more profitable to themselves.

When all is said and done, a dealer will turn to the black book.
