Alright then, but remember it's not a big deal at all just something that seemed really pointless to me.
Ok so I guess bringing your car on a trailor to the "street races" is the newest bandwagon to jump on. Of course I don't have anything against it, if that's what you want to do then go ahead and do it, but why would you bring a car that isn't even finished yet?
Heres what happened:
Ok so I roll up to a local meet up place and as I pull in I see an EG on a trailor. I parked a little ways away from it and a friend of mine comes up and tells me it's running a DRAG kit with no engine management and supposedly boosting 29psi.
I thought about it for a second and then decided to go check it out for myself. Upon approaching the car I can see wheelie bars on the back and the car is fully slicked down. I think to myself "oh shit this guy must be out to make some money tonight". I get to the engine bay and take a peek inside. The motor looks pretty done up and the owner says it's a b18c1 bored to a 2.0L fully built. By this time theres a huge circle around this guys engine bay and someone next to me asks what he's using for an EMS. He says uberdata and then proceeded to tell everyone the car isn't finished but when it is it will run 9's, but for now the car is just running off a basemap.
These are just some of the things that didn't make sense to me. (And if the owner of the car is reading this, I'm not talking shit just don't understand the point of bringing an unfinished car out on a trailor)
1. The car was gutted on the inside had just a driver seat and a rollcage, yet the body didn't seem to be fiberglass. (I thought it would have been seeing as how the owner wants to hit 9's)
2. The car was running stock 240cc injectors. I'm sure the owner was planning on swapping out the injectors, at least I hope he was.
3. I also hope he's planning on switching turbo's cause that thing will never get him into the 9's.
4. He was using uberdata? I don't know, if I were going to dump as much money as it looked like was spent on this motor I would have shelled out the extra money for a real standalone like SpeedPro, MoTec or at least AEM EMS.
5. Did I mention there was no charge pipe from the intercooler to the turbo? And I doubt the Spearco intercooler he had will flow the amount of horsepower needed to be in the 9's.
6. Why bring an unfinished car out? What is the point of this other than to have everyone run up to you and can swing from your nuts? OMG seriously this one dorky looking mofo walked up and started talking to him I just wanted to slap in the face with my penis. He said something to the affect of "Yo man...I give you props for that sticker under your hood." At that point I just had to walk away because I couldn't believe the words that were coming out of his mouth, I mean I seriously felt embarassed
FOR him.
So anyway I'm thinking next week I'm gonna rent a trailor, load my untuned car on it, slap on some wheelie bars, head out to the meet up spot so I can hop on the bandwagon and tell everyone I'm gonna be in the 8's with full interior and street tires.
Whatever, I probably shouldn't care what other people do and just worry about myself so I'll just leave it at that but for some reason it was just boggling my mind. :unsure:
I think I'm making a big deal of this because I'm jealous cause my car just sits in my garage and I want all the ricers to swing off my nuts.
Oh well, I'm gonna go sit in my unfinished car and pass the time.
had to redo them today. It sat clean but 
to tein especialy there spings. They didnt seem any better or any worse then any others at face value but i just dont think teins that great, i tryed to tell him for the longest but he poped up at my door one day with them so whatever his car.
