Dunno about dropping the vtec to 3000? theres a reason why its program to 5500 etc. the motor needs to be revved up to a point where oil pressure is needed to open up valves etc. for vtec to work properly w/o harm to engine, tampering w/the vtec to go off that low is not enough oil pressure build up and you can damage your engine. But hey have fun its your car! :unsure:

Don't drop your vtec that low it will hurt you more than it helps you. The lowest I've seen on a daily driven car is 4900 and that worked great!!! You should just give it the juice because most races don't last that long. I've beat type-r's with a JDM B16 gen 1 motor and all I have is cai, header, exhaust, cam gears, ACT stage 4 clutch and a 75-shot of ZEX.

Yes, U can get 200whp from a 1.6, but you can accomplish this much easier with a 1.8.............go 1.8 kid
