First I would like to apologize if this information is elsewhere on the site, but I didn't see it anywhere after extensive searching.

My question is how hard would it be to put a B18C from Japan into a 86 CRX DX?

I understand that I would have to get mounts from HAsports.

If I were to do this, I would have the engine, harnesses, mission, ECU, axles, everything. I'm aware there would be some wiring modifications that would need to be done, but how bad would it be?

To do it right ? It's not easy. There isn't a lot of room under that hood. To "Git er done" about $1000 components and about 4 months of wiring / customization time.

Cheap. Fast. Good. Pick 2.

starting with an 86 DX is going to make it that much harder...

carb vs. FI

alot more wiring and a bunch more components are going to be needed. The mount kit is different than the one for the 88-91 Civic/CRX's.

Basicly, to do it right, you're looking at about $1500 (on top of the cost of the swap) and a good 6 months of solid weekend work.

Some welding/fab skills are highly recommended.
