Best Performing Engine for 98 Civic DX Coupe

Alrighty, I am going to perform an engine swap. I heard from a friend that a B18C5 engine would be the best to go into a 98 Civic DX Coupe. Can anyone back this up? Will this even fit? Is it the best for the money? HELP! :(
 
that is one of the more expensive engines you can put in your car. Look into the different motors, figure out what kind of budget you have or will have, and then see what works for you, i recommed studying the engines part of the reference section on this site. personally if i were you i would go with a B18C it is not a type R, but is way less money and is quite fast.
