Is there really a point for those big ass aluminum/carbon fiber wings?
 
yea, only if u drive a rear or awd car, and exceed speeds of 110 mph alot, then it will help u....
also the point is to look fast and jdm.....
 
i saw a ford probe yesterday with a chinese dude drivin with a factory 8 inch high wing with a 15 inch aluminum bolted to it.......i knew it was fast when i saw it
 
F1 baby! they could drive upside down if the track fliped over, they show how downforce works.
 
B) personally i think they look good but i don't really get the point get the little ones they look a whole lot better especially on little cars

yea, f1 cars are ill. I think I did see something about how the car produces enough downforce at 200mph to drive on an upside down track. Pretty ill.

Actually, that speed is closer to 100mph, not 200mph.
 
i think the only thing this thread is missing is that picture of the civic with the wing about 4 feet above it's roof line...you guys know which one i'm talking about, someone post the pic. i think it was a brown 4-door eg.
 
see the the ricer has this so called"wing" that allows the car to literally fly into the atmosphere. now giving that this vehicle is airborn it must abide by federal air regulations requiring it have a certian so many of undercarriage lights allowing its physical appearance to the public on the gound. the ability to fly gives the car or rather the owner an idea of he is saving gas by cutting the corners and not driving in one lane but rather both. to his excitement he has saved enough gas to drive through the parking lot again and letting everyone know what hes listening to then cutting through the neighborhoods whether its 4 am or even 6am on a saturday morning. that sound of his supposedly 300 dollar exahust system is actually a minor hole in his muffle that he cannot see nor does he care because he is under the assumption that his car is that much cooler than yours. then the he will offer to sell you a spoiler like his and ask you to join his car club. just tell him know thats ok but i would like to ask you one question. "so uh where did you land?"
