Cant burn cd's...

So my computer went completely gay on me. It wont let me burn cd's anymore, every time I try to burn a cd it tells me to insert a blank cd, which is weird because I went through all 50 of the blank cd-r's that I bought and apparently none of them are 'blank'. Hell it doesn't even like recognize that theres a disc in there. I have no problem loading game disc or anything to play games. But it wont recognize blank cd-r's I dont know how to fix it, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

reboot the machine with the CD-R/RW in the drive.


you can get a new one on ebay.

cd-r drives are cheap. no biggie to slap a new one in

You can try checking your cables, uninstalling and reinstalling both hardware and burn software.

However, given its a cd-burner, the laser probably died. U can try getting a cleaning device.
