Hello,

recently I've made swap from D14xx to D16Y8. Currently inside is P45 Accord's ECU (dont ask !) which I'm planning to replace. Now my doubt is which ECU should I get ?
P28 or P30 ? Which is better for me ? Why ?

Thanx...

P28 = obd1 sohc vtec ecu aka d16z6
P30 = DOHC VTEC b16 ecu also obd1

yes I've read that here on hondaswap...
but I want to know if I put P30 which is DOHC on SOHC motor, is there any benfit from that action...?
dont know maybe rich fuel mixture or so ?
maybe is p30 like slightly chipped p28 ? :)

:no:
Just get a p28 if u want to do obd1

p28.

Question, can you put a p28 ecu on an lsvtec to covert to obd1 or do i have to installl p30? the current ecu is a pw0. SORRY TO THREAD JACK

you CAN put just about any ecu on any motor. Will it run good is a different story.

for the OP, just run the p28 if you're obd1 chassis. the p30 maps aren't remotely close for running a y8.

Other than the obvious different fuel, igntion, vtec, and redline, the only difference between the p28 and the p30 is that the p30 has a knock sensor circuitry.
other than that, they are pretty much the same thing... (usdm vs usdm of course)
