Engine Models

Hey all I am in the process of looking for an engine to swap for my 96 civic. I am just wondering where the easiest place would be to find the engine model on the actual engine itself. I have access to a few but the owner can't tell me the model numbers.

Stamped on the block, midway down the block near where the tranny bolts up. B18A1, H22A4, etc.
