Ok i have a 94 del sol si (auto) when I shift gears the entire engine moves about 1/2-1 1/2inches. Is this normal I never noticed it before. Im thinking it is the mtor mounts but I want to be sure before i spend a lot of money. If it is the motor mounts then can anyone reccomend a good kit. Also am I losing power because of this?

yes its normal
yes you lose power because of it
in an auto del sol Si its not worth doing mounts

moving that much? could the mounts be worn?

Well the are six years plus, but I think their life expectancy is quite a bit longer than that. Yes it is normal for your motor to move about that much, if you did replace the mounts with an aftermarket, then you would have some pretty bad vibrations caused by the motors movement being transfered to the chassis, exactly what the stock mounts are for, absorbing the vibration and movement.
