i am looking at some Fidanza cam gears for my 92 Ford Escort GT(yeah i know this is a Honda site), i was wondering if any of you all have had any experience with these and are they decent as far as performance and quality goes. thanks for the help!
I use to drive A mazda and I now that fidenza make the most products for the non-rx7 models. I beileve they are a good company I know they make good flywheels. I seen on corksport.com the bp maita uses the same cam gear as the escort gt so if you don't like fidenza HKS make a gear for the miata that they say will fit the ESCort.
off topic, but i used their flywheel and had absolutely no complaints, lasted for about almost two years, until i sold the car.
personally I would consider only cam gears that CAN'T be adjusted past +/- 5 degrees so that incase they slip due to improper tq-ing your valve train won't make contact with your lower rotating assembly.
with cam gears you can optimize your cams potential.
