got pulled over

hahahah I'm definately buying a truck now. was driving the chevy around, and, well I kinda squeeled the tires while pulling out of a parking lot. the cop pulls me over, comes up asks for the id, I tell him that it's my dads truck and I wasn't used to the big block power. I offer him my insurance, and he says I don't need it, hands me my license and says have a good night.

If I was in my civic... I'd be in jail. moral of the story, buy a pickup.

Or... you could just not do anything illegal. squealing your tires/peeling out is considered reckless driving here in good old indiana...

I didn't mean to squeal the tires... it just kinda happened. the truck has a 496 big block in it.... I barely gave it any gas.

i got pulled over again =(

almost turned into a 1 way that was empty. i had to go in reverse a few feet to correct, and of course a cop had to see.

i just acted dumb and got a warning. maybe i should've been that way when i got pulled over for speeding earlier this week.

I would have used the clutch excuse... but it's an auto.

they never said anything about your tail lights? in maryland we would give you 7 days to put the stock ones back on and have a officer sign the ticket off

if you fail to do so your reg is suppended

like what? To me the clutch was tricky, being used to a 127 hp Escort with a clutch that went in like nothing and then going to a 325 hp car made it hard to get used to coming off a stop light.

Most cars with more power still have a soft clutch. when people start adding upgraded clutches with heavier pressure plates "depending on the app" thats when it gets hard to push in. if you do the car right it shouldnt be all that hard to push in.

My friends 2001 Vipers clutch feels the same as my dads LX civic - not having as far of travel.

Hydraulics are VERY powerful! Back in the day when my civic had a cable clutch it was very hard to push the pedel in, but now it has a hydraulic tranny in it. Now it feels like stock.

at night, it's really hard to tell they're tinted. it was after 11pm. and i was smart enough to leave my parking lights on so the whole assembly glowed red.

excessive tire rotation, exhibition of speed, reckless driving, reckless endangerment. around here, they'll hit you with all of those, just for a little burnout. oh and they'll add themselves for a reckless endangerment charge.

I didn't care if he saw the smoke from 4 blocks away... I just went through 400 in tires.
