I want to get some opions ls bottom end bore .20 je pistons eagle rods 10.5:1
which head would you use and does anyone know hp # with stock1.8 with gsr head and 1.8 with b16 head please coment!!

The gsr head has a little bit smaller combustion chamber giving you a slight raise in compression. like +.2. I remember from a while back someone showing a graph of air flow for a gsr head vs b16 head and they were pretty close together.

I thought I read somewhere that the b16 head was the better flowing head.

They both have their high points and low points, but a side by side comparison shows that they're both pretty equal as far as flow.

10.5:1? why bother going aftermarket for that. you can get some JDM GSR pistons and be right there, or some itr pistsons and go to 11.3 ish...

either way, if you're going all motor, i'd suggest the gsr head.
if you're going turbo/sc/nitrous, go with the b16.

it really doesn't matter too much. the gains/losses between the two are neglicable, and once you port them, and shroud the chambers out, they are equally capable of hitting big figured.

yeah yeah.....i saw the graphs and one is slightly better low and the other slightly better high i just cant remember wich is wich.....but i would buy the b16.....same cast as ITR/CTR if honda likes it i like it

gsr makes more mid range, b16 makes more top end.

overall area of graph is about the same cfm over the course of a power band.
