H22 Or B16

i own a 92 civic.i was wondering what you would recomend in terms of a swap. Because of my budget i can only afford a b16a or a h22. The b16 seems to be more practical and easy, but for around the same price (for the motor) i could drop in a much more powerful h22. However i have heard about many problems involved with putting a h22 in a civic.

It isn't the same price,or even close.Since you have to spend $600 on the mounts and then either piece together or buy custom axles,and then you either have to cut your fan or buy a new slim fan.Both engine are going to have "hidden" expenses,like new oil,coolant,seals,gaskets,timing belts,etc...little things that could be wrong and need replacing.

the b16 is going to be cheaper, after its all said and done. but IMO not as fun
