Headers question

I have a set of dc headers i'm going to install, my question is, is it possible to bolt that onto the stock pipe for now. I have an exhaust lined up, but its going to have to wait a little bit. It will be going on to a 98 teggy ls

Yeah, it's definitely possible. Keep in mind that you're going to be bolting the header to your cat converter, not your actual exhaust pipe. My header bolted up to my stock cat converter just fine, so you should be fine too...
