How get paint off a Carbon fiber hood?

So i have this hood that is carbon fiber and the kid who had it before me painted it. How would i go about getting the paint off and making it back to normal?

start sanding, just enough to lift off the paint. i would start with something light, 1000 grit so you don't blow through the clear/gelcoat underneath.

What do you recommend using for a sander? Belt? Hand? And I was already planning on doing a new clear coat after.

use a rubber sanding block.

and thats great you are going to re-clear it. but you dont want to sand down to the fiber.
